Stefano Bonato
- Here's some of my ideas that came up in conversation, prototyped fast, for fun.
- Some get finished. The headings below say which.
Done
- a Letterboxd-based movie recommendation engine for me and my gf, accounting for personal taste, whatever we're craving, and average ratings.
- a way to keep the same coding-agent session alive while hopping between accounts when one runs dry.
Private Alpha
- audio plugins, made by describing them in natural language (furo.re).
- a bilingual, source-checked data site tracking how Italy legislates against femicide.
Being packaged
- Tinder for matching private ideas, without revealing them to the wrong people. Cryptographically, somehow.
- my entire Orange Pi setup: an open-source stack squeezed for maximum torrent streaming and home-server usefulness, all behind Mullvad.
- an Immich extension that clusters recordings by person and produces deepfake videos locally.
In development
- a way to promote coding-agent sessions into tmux, then observe, rearrange, and access them on a shared lightweight 2D web canvas.
status: needs extensive testing. - a first-person roguelite survival game loosely inspired by an old, fucked-up 4chan /vg/ post.
status: lore, physics and audio mostly done. currently designing props. next: NPCs and interactions. - a video-editing pipeline that turns raw footage and microphone recordings into a short film, using local AI and brainstorming with the user. It supports retouching, generating missing scenes, and completely unserious re-narrations.
status: refining the pipeline as I produce the first montage from half a terabyte of camping-vlog material. - a 3D representation of Murano across four centuries, starting from unstructured text and image data.
status: waiting for new data from my art researcher partner. - a dark fantasy world that is made up as you walk through it. It stays consistent in space and time by actively maintaining an underlying world model, which also keeps generation under control.
status: moving to the cloud; my local stack is too slow for the full pipeline.
Abandoned
- a bedtime story generator that lets the kid interrupt and interact in real time.
lesson learned: LLM narrators are versatile but inherently unsafe for kids.
By day, I build computer-vision and machine-learning systems for robots in Zurich.
